The Nordic Permaculture Festival is a travelling festival in Scandinavia, with the aim to spread knowledge and experience on permaculture solutions for sustainable living. The festival is a great meeting place and will be filled with inspiring and experience-based workshops, lectures and activities. Below we’ve outlined some of the details of the festival:

Food: Food is not included in the price of the festival ticket. There will be an abundance of great food options for sale available throughout the festival.

Accomodation: There will be free camping on a campground available for people who bring their own tents. There is also a wide range of private accommodation options available in and around our village. You can find the latest listing here, including prices and contact information to the different hosts.

Co-creating is the theme: The festival will be co-created by the participants themselves. One option is to contribute with a workshop, activity or lecture. If you choose to do that, please describe your idea in the signup form below. The workshop core team will confirm with you whether your idea has been accepted or not, well before the start of the festival. Contributions must be sent in to us on May 31 at the latest. If you have any questions regarding workshops, feel free to contact us at stjarnsund@ihop.nu.

Those who will not lead workshops, activities or lectures will become part of a volunteer team during the festival. These volunteer teams will help keep things running, and tasks include collecting garbage, helping people find their way, preparing lecture rooms, cleaning, doing dishes and so on.

Programme: The general structure of the programme is shown in the table below. The festival starts with the opening ceremony on Thursday night. Early morning activities could be anything from going for a run in the woods to doing yoga or shooting arrows. Please use the form below if you would like to contribute with an early morning activity. There is a total of eight slots for activities, workshops or lectures. Some activities may require more than one time slot, so please let us know how much time you’ll need when you fill in the signup form. The programme will be updated continuously, so keep an eye on this site and our facebook page!
